How do I increase my height with a snowboard?

When jump on flat ground I can only get like 6" off the ground maybe a little more. And when I try to 180 on completely Flat ground I can only do about a 150 to 165. This is really bad because I'm trying to become good snowboarder. How do i increase the height I can jump with a snowboard?

There's 2 possible things going on here.

    1. You have a super stiff, cheap board (such as lamar, ltd etc.), that has no pop. You can't do much if this is the case since it is the board, not you.

    2. You aren't loading the tail. Everyone seems to be forgetting how to ollie the proper way these days. You want to bend you knees, shift your weight on and over your back foot then quickly jump with your front leg while transferring your weight back to the center of your board and jumping up with your back foot RIGHT after your front foot. It is hard to explain so here's a video.

    Hope this helps.
