Plant a bamboo…this plant can grow a foot a day! and absorbs large amounts of CO2

  • bananatree94:

yes.. if u choose a right species u can get a dense wall of bamboo thats pretty hard to look through.. and its an evergreen so it will help even in winter.

I have already did what you said–I had the plant in a pot,so I have burned plant and potalong with the dirt-I was afraid there might be something in the dirt now-thanks for the heads up-

You should dig up your plant from the roots and burn the plant you have. You could cause an ecological event because that bamboo isn’t native to America. What if, in that bamboo you had there was a bug in the stock of the plant and it got out and it hooks up with other bugs and they breed a new kind of bug that’s deadly. Or the Bamboo stalk has a desease and it infects all the plants in the surounding area and it get’s to Americas major farming crops. I’m pissed at customs!!!

I have some bamboo that I brought from the Philippines–I dont know what kind it is or if it is even in the USA -I cut a piece from a larger bamboo when I was in the Philippines and brought the section of trunk here-put in moist soil in dark location as I was told over there-now it has shoots about 4 inches and im not sure where I put outside [ in the sun -or in the shade ?]
